Oh what a wonderful weekend, oh what a wonderful time...
We just got back from visiting our dear friends, the Bradshaws, up in Tennessee, and we had a great time! The time spent among such good friends was absolutely wonderful! They even went and got me some IBC root beer! Now wasn't that sweet? We had picnics and tossed balls around, learned a new way to play checkers from Luke and even saw Batman in real life! Okay, so this 'Batman' strangely resembled Elijah Brothers, but what's that got to do with it? :) He kept us in stitches the whole time we were there! We also enjoyed playing our instruments, singing, and worshipping together. The fellowship was just wonderful! So good that we didn't go to bed last night until two o'clock this morning. So I guess we didn't go to bed last night at all! And then I got up at six-thirty this morning; you can do the math. After only four and a half hours of sleep, I'm exhausted! Wouldn't have missed it for the world though! Much thanks goes to the Bradshaws for their wonderful hospitality to all of us and for giving us such a great time!
Thought I'd mention that we will be getting two seven-week-old black labs, one male and one female. Any name ideas are welcome. I suggested naming them Pippin and Merry, but no one else liked that!
Kaliste,
ReplyDeleteWe always love having you all here and look forward to your next visit, whenever that may be. Thanks for coming!
Mary Susan Bradshaw
P.S. I like Pippin and Merry. We had a black lab for years; her name was Mocha. (She was actually a little bit Irish setter, too) We also had a yellow lab; her name was Butterscotch (but after settling on that, we thought of Snickerdoodle, which suited her coloring very well; but Butterscotch she remained). Labs are great dogs.
We'll have more IBC rootbeer for you! Please come back!!!
ReplyDeleteJust thought maybe you should name one Rootbeer and the other Dark Chocolate!
ReplyDeleteGimli and I like Pippin and Merry, but Pippin and Dixie are fine too!
ReplyDeletePippin and Merry, no,no, no! Try some other names from history, you know...somethingwith a Southern feel- Dixie and Bonnie (Blue Flag) or, possibly Chevy and Corvette. Just not anything from LOTR. Please.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the support regarding the Pippin and Merry names! Looks like you're a little out numbered, Mr. Anonymous! :)
ReplyDeleteYou went to the Bradshaws?I did too!Did you happen to be there on September 8?
ReplyDeleteMaybe... Why do you ask?
ReplyDeleteHow 'bout Charcoal and Soot!
ReplyDelete(Are you that desparate?) :]
Do anybody not know who be anunymos?
ReplyDeleteThat was such a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteDo you know who I am?
I might be able to guess, but so far the only hint to your identity that you've given me is that you were at the Bradshaws the same time I was.
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering why you were at the Bradshaws bacuase I think I saw you there.
ReplyDeleteIf you saw me there, then you should know what I was doing, right?
