An update? Maybe...

Yes, yes, I realize that is has been awhile since I've given y'all an update on all the different things that have been going on around here. Sorry about that. In my defence, we have been just the tiniest bit busy. Maybe you'll see why as you read further.

I guess I'll start with our moving progress, if I can remember where I left off. Let's see, we sold our other house, moved into a rental on Lake Lanier...okay, so I'll pick up here. As most of you know our destination is Centerville, Tennessee and it's taking awhile to get there. We have finally put a contract on a piece of property with some friends of ours and hope to close on it very soon. Be praying for all the details to work out. It has 89 acres, which I think are just gorgeous, and a house that needs a little bit of work before it can be occupied. I think we'll end up putting new floors in and some fresh coats of paint, nothing major. Although that won't actually be our house. No, we're building a barn! Yep! The Lovetts are going to build a barn and live in the top part of it for a couple of years, at least, while we build our house. Dad's been working on the plans and I think it's going to great! We're all excited about the idea and can't wait to get settled.

Enough about the move; on to something else. Ummm...the weather? Today was a beautiful day. Temperature in the 60s, not a cloud in the sky, it felt great! We walked down to the lake, threw rocks in the water (Jonathan was the most excited about that part), and just enjoyed being outside. It was the first time I've been outside barefoot in a long time and it was great! The dirt between my toes, the sun on my face, the laughter around me, oh it was perfect. Until I got half of freezing Lake Lanier dumped down my back. Brothers are so wonderful sometimes.

Baby update: Hannah is doing so well. She slept all night long last night! Mom was so excited. I really can't believe how big she has gotten and how much she has changed! Jonathan has also changed a lot. Just the other day I was watching a video that Mom had recorded of him just learning to walk. It seemed like that was only yesterday! Where has time gone?

I'll try to give some more regular updates (I say that a lot, don't I?) so y'all will know what's going on and so that you won't get bored of my blog. Right now it's off to bed. And guess what I get to wake up to? A world of cardboard boxes and tape guns. Fun.

  1. It's a barn.... it's not a barn, but... it's a barn.

Finally! An update! We'll be missing y'all this Lord's Day, but I think we'll be missing everyone.

  2. Kaliste, I think you forgot to relate an important part of the story when you said you got "half of freezing Lake Lanier dumped down your back."

  3. You know, Kaliste, I find it quite fascinating that a certain young man in your family(no names, of course), can fit half of Lake Lanier in his hat. Oh, well, just an observation.

P.S. What is it with you and water?

  4. Claire,

Okay, so maybe not quite half... It felt like it though.

Me and water? I have no idea. Everyone for some reason likes to pour, dump, or whatever else, water on me! And why me? I don't have the slightest clue!
