Why can I never think of a good title?

I'm afraid I've been slacking in the blogging area lately. But you don't really need me to tell you that, do you? First I want to mention something that is probably of little importance to y'all, but I think it's quite amazing. On this day, May 16, in the year 2006 (some of you may know where I got that line from), I started this blog. Now isn't that amazing? I've actually kept this blog, and posted on it at least once a month, for a whole year!

Anyways, on to other things. A couple of weeks ago we were very blessed to have a bunch of friends come over to raise our barn. It was absolutely amazing. In just five days, we went from just a concrete slab to a full two-story, dried-in barn, complete with windows, doors, metal roof, and even a kitchen! We were all worn out by the end of the week. Well...the guys were. Me...? Kinda. Taking pictures and bringing the guys water was hard work, right? ;) Besides having a good work week, there was wonderful fellowship, good food, a couple of comedy nights, Phase 10 games and just a lot of fun. What great friends the Lord has blessed us with. To see our week, click...well, I wish I could say "click here". The photoshow is finished, but I'm having problems uploading it to the web, so I'll just post it as soon as I can.

We've been having some problems lately. With animals. The ticks and sn---- are everywhere! And getting quite annoying too. Then there's the snapping turtle in the pond. And then we had a lame duck. And somehow it ended up in the bathtub. See Caleb and Daniel for details. Now we just have a lone duck.

For those of you wondering about the root beer experiment and how it worked, I'll just say that it didn't. It looked nice in all the bottles and was really fizzy, but it tasted positively disgusting. And since the purpose of root beer is to enjoy it by drinking it...needless to say, I think it will be disposed of. Maybe we can shake them up really well and see how far we can shoot them.
