...not only that it is December, but that it's almost Christmas! Wow, how this year has flown by. I also can't believe how long it's been since I've posted! But I can blame that on busyness and maybe a little bit of writer's block. ;)
Our hollow has once again turned into "Mud Waller Holler." While we are very thankful for all the rain, the mud is a little less welcome. But I suppose that with rainy weather, the chance for snow increases. :) And after what happened last year, none of us can wait for a good snowfall. ;)
Along with Christmas this year is Daddy and Mamma's 20th wedding anniversary! My grandparents will be coming up for Christmas a few days early, and Mom and Dad are going to take a little vacation in Nashville. We all can't wait! But there is still much to do before next week. Sewing, cooking/baking, shopping, etc. It seems as though Christmas has just come out of nowhere!
My dear mother, who is expecting in April, has been busy trying to sew herself some new clothes. Maternity clothes are so difficult to find, let alone nice looking dresses! Some of the younger girls are also in need of a few more dresses/skirts. So a couple of weeks ago we left the little ones with the boys at home, and all of us girls went on a fabric shopping spree. And oh what fun! I drove the entire way there and back again! OK, that was kind of random. Anyways, we now have more material than we know what to do with!
With everything else going on, Daddy has decided not to do the coffee shop. In one way that's kind of a relief, but it would have been a lot of fun. Especially seeing Daddy in his jester hat. :) But maybe one day; you never know.
Well, this isn't much of an update, but it's better than nothing, right? I have so much to do right now that I really can't spend too much time blogging. If I can get half of the sewing, baking, and other things done before my grandparents get here, I will be more than grateful!
But in all the fun and busyness of the season, I can not let myself forget my Maker and Creator, the One who gives me each breath to breathe and a reason to live my life. He has blessed me so much. Praise the LORD!
Merry Christmas, Lovetts!
