Rain, Glorious Rain!

And oh, how we needed it! Maybe it will cool things off a bit. Funny story here though. . .I spent a couple of hours in the garden this afternoon hooking up all my drip tape. As soon as I finished and went inside, the clouds broke lose and gave us a downpour. :) Now, don't get me wrong; I'm not complaining or anything. I just thought that to be somewhat humorous.

Speaking of the garden. . . it seems to be going fairly well. I'm a little, okay, so a lot behind in the weeding department, but I think we're getting there. I sort of got caught up in other little project that took away quite a bit of my time from gardening and the weeds seized the opportunity to take over. But since that's been done, I've been able to spend more time out there and have been trying to get it all under control. Abi and Anna have been a tremendous help, and we've had a lot of fun working together. Even Jonathan has helped carry hay and spread mulch.

Other things that are going on? Well, we only have one more week of school, and then we're off for the rest of the summer. Yay! I'm still going to try to finish up a couple of things and resume work on CLEP's. Don't laugh, Laura. I really am trying.

Some of you may be glad to know that I gave one of my sisters a blanket. Yes, despite it being 90 degrees outside, she asked to borrow a blanket for something, and I just gave it to her. Unless you want to count the one used to cover my bed during the winter, I believe I am down to only a single, solitary blanket, that one being the beloved 'travel blanket'. And I can't get rid of that one. I'm sorry.

For those of you who don't know, Buck, the outdoor sheepdog who doesn't like the sheep, has become an indoor dog. Yeah. Yay. Anyway, for awhile there it didn't look like it was going to work out too well, but Kenan took him and has trained him, he actually improved quite a bit. He does leave dog hair everywhere, but I guess that's better than something else.

So, question of the week: Do ladies sweat, or do they perspire? I was asked that the other day and wasn't sure how to answer it. I was so hot at the moment I was dripping, and both words seemed to be an understatement.

I really need to get a new background or header picture or something, don't I? 'Cause believe me, it ain't cold outside anymore! I am working on it, I just haven't found anything that I like. Yet. And blogger now has this weird template designer thingy, which I haven't quite figured out. Maybe tomorrow.
