A long awaited post

I do sincerely (sort of) apologize for how much time I've let slip away without posting. I can't believe that I completely missed November! It's really bothering me, too. Not because I didn't give my readers anything to read, but because there is now a hole in my archives. November 2010 is gone forever, and there's nothing I can do about it. How sad. And no, I'm not the obsessive/compulsive type.

My excuses for not posting? Let's see. . . 1) lack of interesting things to post about and/or pictures (I'm really falling short there), 2) lack of time -- I mean, who wants to sit at the computer rehearsing what they've been doing the past week when they could be watching an awesome movie like Inception? Priorities here. 3) lack of will power -- I'll admit it. I just haven't felt like writing anything. Occasionally I'll think, "Hey, that might make a good blog post", but, of course, it never happens.

So it's cold here now. I don't know if you all know this or not, but I don't much like the cold. I feel like I can never really relax in the winter months unless I'm wrapped up in blankets. My fingers and my toes pretty much stay cold all winter long. However. . .I absolutely love all of the winter clothes, especially the boots and cute hats. And the snow. When we get enough to play in, we always have a blast. We have yet to top the snow experience we had a couple of years ago. Boy, that was fun!

Like I said, not too much has been going on here that's worth posting about. We're all terribly busy, but most of it is just everyday life on the farm, community living, and construction. The building project is probably the biggest thing right now. Many trips are made to the nearby building supply place every week, and it's a good thing it's only a few miles down the road. The house is coming along beautifully. I especially like all the beam work, and I can't wait to see the finished product.

Now I know this is a fairly lame excuse for a post, but it's better than nothing, right? I know I've said this before, but I'm going to try to get back into the habit of writing more frequently, as well as taking/posting more pictures. Poor Joshua isn't going to have any memories to show his kids! But that's another story.
