We have had the wonderful opportunity to spend the last week at the beach in Florida. Oh, how I have missed it! We have had the best of times with siblings, parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins, experiencing the majesty and glory of another part of God's creation.

The first evening we arrived, we sat on the back porch and watched as a storm rolled in. The clouds moved quickly and changed every few seconds. Later that night we witnessed an awesome lightning show out across the water. |
 |
Thankfully the storms blew away and left us with nice and warm sunny days to play in the surf! |

My uncle's nickname is Captain Funzo, and this is why. He loves goofing off with the kids and making them laugh. |
 |
I love my grandparents. They are truly wonderful, and this trip would not have happened without them. |

This little guy brought his own chair down from the house only to have his uncle steal it from him. No problem; he just went back up to the house and fetched another...all by himself. |
And our week has finally come to a close. It's been a great week, and I'm sad to say goodbye to this beautiful place. But I fully intend to come back.
It looks like y'all had a great time.!!!I like your squishy!

What a fun and relaxing vacation with the family! And it's oh so beautiful there. I've never been to Florida, but Thomas says the water is great.
ReplyDeleteMr.H wants to know if Squishy is dangerous.
Isn't it funny how fast a week of vacation can go? I'm glad you all had a grand time.
Blessings, Mrs.H
We've been going to Florida for as long as I can remember, and we have always had great weather! This year the forecast said rain every day, which didn't look too promising, but we really didn't get much. Instead, we were able to watch some neat storms roll in every once in awhile, and it was wonderful! Kept the breezes cool.
DeleteI'm going to assume that Squishy is dangerous, though I have no idea how much. We stayed away from him as much as possible. The blue jellyfish weren't around as much, but there were lots and lots of small clear ones, and those did sting us on occasion. But it didn't hurt enough to keep us out of the water. :)
