Well, in case any of you are interested, somebody got his ATV back from the shop today. In his words, it is now "awesome!" or "totally wicked!!!". (We can't seem to get through to him that wicked is actually a word that describes something negatively. I think he's seen too much TV or something.)
For the last couple of days "Cow Hollow" could have correctly been called "The Mud Puddle". We have gotten a lot of rain and our driveway was a mess. Any time we had to go somewhere, we slipped and slid all over the place just trying to get out to the road! We actually got the van stuck once. So Dad ordered a truckload of chert to be dumped out here, and a bunch of guys were out spreading it this afternoon. Thanks guys!
We watched a movie the other night called The Village, and that was quite an interesting movie. Can't say that I didn't like it, but it was strange. If you haven't seen it, I don't want to give anything away, but while it's somewhat scary, it's very thought provoking. The music in it was amazing in the sense that it really gave the movie an eerie feeling. I mean, we were intense when we were only watching the opening credits!
Okay, I'm just rambling now. Better go before I bore you all to death.
Just a couple of questions:
ReplyDeleteFirstly, has that somebody named his four-wheeler? If so, what is it?
Nextly, have you found a book yet? Surely, but I don't know. I needed more guidelines to properly suggest a book. However, the Greek and Roman dramas I found quite entertaining, and you might want to read the Jane Austin books before we have our night ;) (you may have already read them; I am having a brain lapse at the moment. Forgive me). Also, I believe I remember correctly, you could try the Narnia books again before "Prince Caspian" comes out. And there's always Sarah, Plain and Tall! :)
Sorry for the long comment.
My ATV has not been named yet, but I am desperately trying to come up with a good name. Any suggestions anyone?
ReplyDelete'fraid not.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but nextly?
ReplyDeleteAnd Laura's right, Sarah Plain and Tall is a classic. Just riveting literature right there.
Give me a little slack!!! I was half asleep when that was written, and I'm in the middle of that Dickens book. He uses things like that on every page! It annoyed me at first, but I'm probably getting too used to it now.
ReplyDeleteBe warned. Who knows what eccentricities have found their way into my conversation since reading this book! :)
OK, OK, I'll stop correcting your grammar and go to someone we can both correct. Hmmm... Sorry.
ReplyDeleteEccentricities...yep, on dictionary.com.
By the way, Kaliste, we own Sarah Plain and Tall. Just so you'll know in case you have a sudden crave for classic literature.
I looked it up before publishing the comment! I was fairly sure about it anyway though.
