What's been going on...

Grandparents are in this week, and this time they brought my cousins. We've been having a blast and staying quite busy. Imagine that.

Below will be some fairly random thoughts, happenings, and bad writing...after all, it is after 11:00pm, and I'm just trying to kill time.

This little guy continues to grow, and I'm so scared that one day I'm going to wake up, and he's not going to be so little anymore! He's still cute as ever, though, and I love him to death.

Don't know about you, but I'm not such a huge fan of tomatoes. Yeah, even the ones that are "fresh, homegrown, oh-so-good, nothing-beats-a-homegrown-tomato" blah, blah, blah. I have gotten a little better about it. I will now eat a BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) sandwich with the T...so long as it has lots of B. And lots of L. And plenty of mayo. And not too much T. OK really. I do like them better than I used to.

But one day, I was introduced to these little guys. They're called Sungold Cherry Tomatoes, and they are an out of this world tomato. And that's coming from me! Seriously, these guys are soooo good. Especially on a hot day...mmm. And thanks to my wonderful friend over at Beaverdam Creek Farm, I can eat them fresh every week to my heart's content.

As much as these things look like dunce caps (and secretly, I'm still convinced they are), I was told that they are pointy gnome hats...or princess hats depending on who is wearing them. In this picture, they would be gnome hats. I believe Gnomeo and Juliet are wearing them. That or Hermione and Harry Potter.

OK, it's like midnight now, and I can't think of anything to say for this picture. I've been through Riley and Dory and country songs, and I'm just not coming up with anything. Brain dead. Any ideas? Y'all tend to be better at this than me anyway.

In other news, I lost an earring while swimming today. Now I feel lopsided.

Sam's leg is healing well, and she was able to take her "cones of shame" off today. Yay! A little more cute to take pictures of now. :)

I have rediscovered that I hate putting on wet swimsuits. I mean, that's up way on up there with opening up the dishwasher and finding it full of dirty dishes or pulling out a pair of socks and seeing that someone mismatched them. I can't wear mismatched socks.

The movie rental store in town is going out of business. So sad. But it means they are selling their movies for pretty cheap, so a couple of friends and I have been stocking up. I think we could open up our own business now. Of course, I couldn't live with the old, scratched up, movie rental, DVD cases, so I bought nice, new cases for all my DVD's and carefully peeled the old bar code stickers off of the paper inserts. Now they look pretty!

Tomorrow night, Source Code with some awesome friends. Can't wait! I've heard this one is good, and I've been waiting for it to come out on DVD. I'll give you my review after I watch it. Seems the best way to go.

Some of you know that my sisters have a drink business at the construction site for all the workers that come and go. It was getting time to restock the fridge, but they didn't want to continue the business because...get this now...they were tired of collecting the money! Say what? Ok, well that's how my grandmother put it. In the end, they decided to keep the drinks going. I think they had too many people volunteering to take over.

I am finding out more and more that I am such a perfectionist and want everything to be clean and neat. Wow. Even DVD cases. Why it matters, I have no idea. But it does. I can't even wear the same color, same style socks if I know that they are slightly different or came out of two different packages. No one would see or know, but I do. And it feels weird.

And I could go on all night, I'm afraid, but I'll spare you. Next post, I'll have to share pictures of our new toy. But for now I'm going to finish a Monopoly game while waiting for the Sprouls to get here. Then I'm going to bed. 'Cause I'm tired.
