A friend of mine had a birthday. And she turned 21, which calls for something a little more than the usual "Happy Birthday; hope you have many more" kind of celebration. And she doesn't get out of the house too much. So we came up with a plan: abduct her and take her to Franklin for the day!
We walked through shops, had lunch at the Mellow Mushroom, tried on lots of hats and sunglasses, squeezed into a photo-booth for some pictures, smelled a million different perfumes, went to a movie, bought lots of popcorn and ate very little of it, had a photo shoot at sunset, had frozen yogurt for dinner, and sang to all out music on the way home. One word: awesome.
Me and my gang on our way to kidnap a fourth member. We're so bad. :)
Know the right way to start a perfect day? Starbucks! Duh.
Walking down the streets of Franklin. And what a beautiful day it was!
Found these guys downtown. Don't ask how Olivia got the pig.
"Think the guys would make fun of these??"
Olivia finally found a dog that she liked.
$200 for a pair of jeans anyone? We didn't get a picture of the $500 sweater....
"How about this for a head covering?"
"This one?"
Someone we saw from Alaska. She was kind enough to let us take her picture.
We took lots of pictures.
Our lovely birthday girl! Thank you for turning 21, dear!
What an awesome group of girls!
Olivia was a little into the ovens. So much so that she had to get her picture with them.
"What the heck are y'all doing??"
I love brick walls.
And wonderful friends. :)
None of us were hungry for dinner, so we had frozen yogurt at the Pink Berry. My, was it good! The perfect way to end a perfect day!
Love you girls!

That green thing is a pig? Why didn't you tell me that at the time!?! Now I've lived up to my namesake.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. :D :D :D
Sorry, Olivia, I guess I thought you were a little more experienced in the wonderful world of Angry Birds. :)
ReplyDeleteBut your namesake? I must have missed something.
Yep. It WAS awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting, Kaliste!
There's a whole series of books about Olivia the Pig. :D Tricia Ann took a picture of one of the toys that had Olivia the Pig on it. :D
