Just a small glimpse of my reality

Reality, yeah, sometimes life
Ain't all that it's cracked up to be
So let's take a chance and live this fantasy
'Cause everybody needs to break free from reality
-Kenny Chesney "Reality"

I heard this on the radio the other day, and thought, "Wow. What a different worldview than mine!" I mean, every day I wake up and think that I must be dreaming; this beautiful life can't be mine. But it is. My dream has become my reality, and I love it! We serve an amazing God who is in control of everything and loves us. We wake up every day in one of the most beautiful places I can imagine. We live close to and in community with some of the best people in the world. We love each other, we are free, and we are happy.

Our lives aren't perfect though. They do have their rough spots, and no, we're not always happy with each other. But we learn from our mistakes, we get right with our pals, and we're stronger for it. My reality, only by the grace of Christ, has become a most beautiful thing, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

If you care to take a peek at my reality, below is a slide show of the past five years. It begins with the first Lord's Day at Heritage right after we moved and ends on a Lord's Day just a few weeks ago. We have done quite a bit in those years and have had way more fun than should be allowed! But we have grown stronger and closer together, and I can't wait to see what the next five years hold!

What a wonderful slide show. We are part of a small start-up church north of Atlanta. It was so encouraging to see how far you all have come in five years. The Lord be praised.
