"And the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down..."

"...and the something, something, something..." Yes, it is actually a song, but unfortunately for you I can't remember the rest. It's from Winnie the Pooh. You should look it up.

The Centerville, TN Flood of 2011! Woo! Okay, so not quite as dramatic or exciting as last year, but it was still a lot of water.

Please note: the spots that you see in the picture are not specs of dirt and dust on my camera. Those are birds. Apparently they were a little freaked out, too.

All the rain did manage to fill up my grandparents pond though! That's something good (we won't mention the leak in their roof...)! But as the pond is also leaking right now, this may be the fullest we see it for awhile.

So I think I should probably rework my garden space before I start planting, unlike last year. Maybe we can reroute the water around the area instead of through it. Yes, I know. I'm brilliant.

The best part about a storm is that the sun always comes back out and shines again! After a few wet, rainy, and muddy days, we had a gorgeous day today with cloudless blue skies, bright green trees, and a warm sun to begin drying everything out. Our God is good!

"Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth." Genesis 9:11
