A Wedding and Transmission Trouble

Well, the wedding we had to go to in Bristol, VA was great. Everything went really well. It was a very simple wedding, no decorations, not a very long ceremony, but it was wonderful. No one missed all the fuss over decorations-nobody pays any attention to all that anyway-the bridesmaids were beautiful with periwinkle dresses, and of course the bride was gorgeous! No one seemed nervous, although I'm sure they were, which made it very comfortable for those who were watching. All in all, it was a very pleasant event!

Now on the way back is when we really had fun! We were traveling with the Stouffers and Logans when we found out that the Stouffer's car, excuse me, Daniel's car, was having transmission trouble. They ended up having to leave it in Tennessee and we had a bunch of fun trying to squeeze all the Stouffers and Lovetts (14 people total) into the 11 seats in our van! And we were that way all day long; and all night long! We didn't get back to our house till one o'clock this morning! We had a great time, though! We watched an Andy Griffith, or I guess Caleb, Chris, and Daniel did; I rested my eyes. We listened to Mr. Stouffer talk to a friend in Portuguese, and then watched Dad try to imitate him! Caleb and Daniel played golf on Caleb's laptop while Chris and I read billboards. Oh and I have confirmed my suspicions that boys do giggle, especially when they're tired! Of course they'll deny it, but what do you expect? It was quite peaceful once Caleb and Daniel dropped off to sleep. Unfortunately, they didn't do that till we were only thirty minutes from home. Boy was that a long trip, but a great one! I haven't had so much fun since...since...ummm...uh...the day before? :)

  1. Oh! There were only 11 seats in the van? And I thought there were 44 people in the van - not 14. Well, there were 28 feet which means there were 28 shoes and most of those shoes were everywhere except on the feet of the owners.

You are right -- it was a fun time (and memorable). Thanks for your patience with us!

  3. Honestly, Kaliste! Am I going to have to bug you for pictures?!?! Okay, the bride and bridesmaids were gorgeous, but I don't see any pics!

Y'all really should not have passed our exit last night. You know we have room, and that y'all would have been excedingly welcome!!!

  4. Mrs. Stouffer,

On that trip we kept saying how when we first met y'all, it wasn't in our wildest dreams that we'd be doing that! Back then it was all we could do to have y'all over for dinner! :)

    Daniel,

Hey, I'm your best freind, remember? :)

    Laura,

Sorry, but I didn't take any pictures of the wedding. I should have though. :( I'll e-mail you soon! Miss y'all!

  5. Okay. I'll stop bothering you about them.
