I want to thank you all for participating in my little contest. There were lots of good comments and all sorts of different thoughts. I hate to have to tell you peanut butter lovers this, but there were more votes for jelly so I think we won. I was a little surprised at that turn out though; I was expecting for there to be a lot more people for peanut butter than for jelly, but I won't argue with the results... :)
I also want to wish my wonderful parents a very happy anniversary. Tomorrow they will have been married for 18 years. Now isn't that a great testimony? Daddy has been such a good leader to Mommy and she in return is quiet and submissive, an excellent example for her many daughters. In watching my parents I see how they have loved one another and looked out for each other; how they laugh together and how they cry together; how they build one another up and encourage each other; how they can be silly, but at other times serious; how they are the best of friends. But above loving one another and loving each and every one of their children, they love their Lord with all their hearts. They have put Him first in their lives and have faithfully taught their children to do the same. How gracious my God has been to give me such a wonderful Daddy and Mommy!
I love you both very much and wish you a very happy anniversary!
Thank you for your comment Aunt Carol!
ReplyDeleteAnd you do bring up an excellent, but nearly forgotton, point: crunchy peanut butter. That makes the sandwich at least ten times better!
We miss y'all! Hopefully we'll get to see you soon!
Tell your parents I say happy anniversary!
