Cherries

I have this little weakness. Okay, so it's not that little. It's not as bad as chocolate, but it's a weakness nevertheless. Cherries. But especially desserts made with cherries. A couple of days ago, I was at my grandparents house in NC and was able to pick a bunch of fresh pie cherries. Mmmmm. . . Well, I didn't have anything else to do! Dad was installing a couple of lights and Caleb was tying things down on the truck. And those cherries. . . all those beautiful red cherries were just calling for me to come pick them and turn them into something yummy! So what was I to do but to go out there and pick some! Today I finished up pitting them and made them into a scrumptious pie filling and then into cobbler. If I could transmit smells through cyberspace, I'd let you in on it. But for now, I guess you'll just have to take my word for it. It smelled sooo good! Ahhh. . . And tasted even better. Oh, did I mention how much I love cherries?
