We stayed here for a few nights but used it as a home base from which to travel. We took day trips to Oxford and Ely, and spent our evenings here. We attended an Evensong service at King's College and enjoyed a ride up the Cam Canal at sunset. These pictures are from a couple of different days and are mostly scenery and the colleges. To see the ones I didn't post, click here.
When I saw this, I thought of you, Olivia. It just seemed like something you would like. It's actually the top of a wine store, but I loved the colors!
King's College. This is actually looking at the inside of the front wall and gate. The picture below is from the other side.

*Sigh* I'm loving the bridges! I mean, all of them are to die for, but the bridge pictures particularly appealed to me tonight.
ReplyDeleteOooooh! That facade makes me think of me, too. ha. :P Also makes me think of Germany and the Swiss Alps. And Heidi. I've been accused of having a Heidi Bean lately. :P
ReplyDeleteAlso.... You know how we're not sure there's build-able land at the little white church down by the road because of the creek? I think we just need to build one of those awesome enclosed bridges right over the creek! Space problem solved! ;)
Can't wait till you get home!
Laura, I am a little obsessed with the bridges over here, too. They are all different and most of them are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOlivia, that might just work. Build it out of stone and it shouldn't wash away during a flood.
