Scotland! May 30

Now we come to one of my favorite parts of the trip: driving in the Scottish countryside! It was absolutely beautiful! I thought England was pretty, but Scotland far surpassed it! The hills, pastures, rocks, lakes...it all met and exceeded my expectations. The weather was quite nice; we talked to a local who said that it had been raining for three weeks. The day we were out was a constant changing mixture of cloudy, partly cloudy, and sunny, and you will see all three in the pictures below.

I took a lot of pictures, but unfortunately most of them were from inside of a moving car. I posted some of my favorites here on my blog, but you can see the rest here, including ones we took in Stirling. All of the lake pictures are of Loch Lomond.

These guys were so funny. I think I've seen some teenagers with the same kind of hair!

And it never hurt anyone to throw a random picture of a weird plant in a blog post.

Good ole Scottish peat fire. Had an interesting smell.

We took a short hike through the woods, climbing to the top of a mountain to get a view. And it was well worth it. Not the next picture but the one after it is the sight we found.

The little guy on the sign is hard to see, so Caleb showed us the way to go.

The North Sea at St. Andrews.

The sunset that night was stunning, and I loved taking pictures of it.
