Our final day in England was spent in Gloucester touring the Cotswolds. I was told to save the adjective "quaint" for this particular district, so now I'm going to use it. The Cotswolds area is a group of small, quaint towns and villages. They have extremely strict building codes today, so that if you are building something new in the area, you have to make it look old, i.e. all the houses have slate and/or thatch roofs and are made of limestone. The area is beautiful, and we even stopped in a small tea room for tea and scones. :) The pictures below are a few of my favorites; the rest are posted here.
